Jeanne ADDED

PORTRAIT

Whether it’s jazz, electro, French chanson, or rock, Jeanne Added is an artist, composer, and performer with an interest in many genres.

As a child, Jeanne Added was introduced to the cello at a very early age. She also began to draw inspiration from her parents’ favorite artists like Bach, Barbara, and the Beatles.

Born in Reims, the artist began her training at the Reims Conservatory and then continued her studies at the Paris Conservatory before attending the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London. This period marked the true beginning of her apprenticeship, as she discovered jazz there.

ARTISTIC JOURNEY

After several years of group projects, Jeanne released her first solo studio album, Be Sensational, in 2015. An intense and bold album with a minimalist aesthetic and full of energy, it earned her a nomination as the Upcoming artist of the Year at the “Victoires de la Musique”. The Reims-based artist followed up in 2018 with the album Radiate, which confirmed her talent. With sounds blending rock and electro, the public discovered a new side of the singer. Indeed, this introspective album is brighter than her previous one and earned her the awards for Female Artist and Rock Album of the Year at the Music Awards.

The composer also released her latest album, By Your Side, in 2022. The carefully crafted electronic sounds allow Jeanne to reveal a softer, more vulnerable side to her music, once again blurring the lines between genres and confirming her status as a free artist in every way.
