PORTRAIT
Lucian E. Wood is one of those artists who have made their mark on the Reims scene with their unique style. Halfway between blues, rock, and the raw sound of American juke joints, he brings a rare, authentic, and deeply embodied musical world to Reims.
Behind his guitars, often a cigar box that gives him his signature rough sound, lies a unique journey. Born to an American photographer father and a Swedish musician mother, he grew up between several cultures. He spent part of his childhood in Ireland, before spending several months in Kentucky with his grandfather, where his love of blues took root and never left him.
ARTISTIC JOURNEY
On stage, Lucian E. Wood plays with sincere energy. His concerts are designed for live performance: a guitar-drum duo that brings vibrant blues rock to life. He has performed on various stages in the region, notably at blues/juke joint events and live sessions, where his artistic identity is fully expressed.
On the music side, he has a number of projects on the go: a music video such as “Morphea,” DIY releases such as D.E.M.O. (D.I.Y. Emotional Moving Object), and live projects such as Crypto’Night and Carto’Night (Live), which capture the moment and the very essence of his sound universe. His work exudes independence, musical soul, and a form of artistic freedom that reflects his personality.
Lucian E. Wood is one of those artists who doesn’t try to fit into a box. He moves forward with his music, his blues sensibility, and his roots that travel from one continent to another. He is an artist apart, who continues to enrich the Reims scene with his distinctive voice, his guitar, and his raw elegance that is entirely his own.
