BEGINNINGS
Pierre-Alexandre Busson, known by the pseudonym Yuksek, is a producer, composer, and DJ who is a key figure in the Reims music scene.
Born in the city and passionate about music from a young age, Yuksek studied piano and attended the Reims Conservatory. However, he dropped out of school at the age of 17 to devote himself fully to his passion: electronic music.
In 2003, he created the Elektricity festival, which was succeeded by La Magnifique Society, an annual event that will continue until 2023 and has become a must-see event in the city.
Self-taught, Yuksek released his first tracks under the same pseudonym in 2006 and quickly began performing in concerts in France and abroad.
It was not until 2009 that he released his first album, Away from the Sea, which brought him to the attention of the general public and allowed him to spend two full years on tour.
RECOGNITION
In 2011, after months of practice and hard work, Yuksek released his second album, Living on the Edge of Time. With its sophisticated pop and electronic sounds, the album earned him a nomination for Best Electronic Music Album at the Victoires de la Musique awards. The record cemented his reputation with the general public, allowing him to diversify and explore other musical avenues.
His influence led him to collaborate and produce remixes with numerous artists such as Phoenix, M83, and Lana Del Rey. He has more than a hundred to his credit.
All these opportunities enabled him to create the Partyfine label in 2013, which brings together more than fifteen artists.
In addition to this, Yuksek continues to produce for various French and international groups. In 2014, he even discovered an interest in film music.
But it was in 2017 that he returned with a new album, Nous Horizon, and an astonishing collaboration with Thomas Pesquet to produce the first music video in space.
Today, Yuksek continues to create music, notably on other American, Australian, and British labels such as Razor-in-tape, Sweat it out, and Classic.
